Abstract EN

The early Islamic period characterized by its cultural characteristics, as a founding period.

However, its lack of codification makes us miss the workbooks contemporary to events, which makes the researcher faces misleading narrations forced in to the events for political and sectarian gains or other gains making many pitfalls and assumptions, so there was what was called historical projections and the foresight method which has been used by some historians in their curricula to achieve those gains, especially historians of the third century AH/ ninth century AD, who gathered a rich material of historical narrations from various countries and benefited from them in writing their workbooks, through which researcher can identify the trends of historians, their views and thus can highlight the factors of the situation if any and the impact of political and sectarian streams.

This study focused on the history of Yacqubi as a model of those workbooks, and aims to try to find a clear definition of such method in the Ya°qubi methodology by tracking the events of the first century AH / seventh century AD.

the author attempts to determine Al-Yacqubi’s objectives of using this methodology and thus show its impact on the credibility of the historian.
