Abstract EN

The study aims to reveal the level of psychological stress and the social adjustment and its relationship between them among Syrian refugees at the Zaatari camp in Jordan.

To achieve the objectives of study, the researcher used two instruments; the first to reveal the psychological stress, and the second to reveal the social adjustment, the validity and reliability were verified.

The sample of the study consists of (100) male and female refugees at the Zaatari camp, were chosen randomly.

The results of the study showed that the level of psychological stress among Syrian refugees on the instrument.

The results indicated that the social adjustment among Syrian refugees on the instrument, and all domains, in moderate level, except the family adjustment domain, which came in first rank, with high level, and the emotional adjustment in the third and last rank.

The results of the study indicated that there were statistically significant differences at the level of psychological stress among Syrian refugees at the Zaatari camp, due to the gender variable, and there were statistically significant differences at the level of psychological stress among Syrian refugees at the Zaatari camp, due to the age variable, in favor of (40 years and over).
