The purpose of the study is to investigate the obstacles of applying blended learning in Mafraq govemorate schools as perceived by social studies teachers.
To achieve this aim the researcher selected a sample of (46) male and female teachers and adopted the descriptive survey approach; through a questionnaire consisted of five domains: educational environment obstacles (8 items), curriculum obstacles (7 items), financial obstacles (5 items), obstacles related to teachers (10 items) and those related to students (7 items).
The findings of the study showed that the obstacles of applying blended learning in Mafraq govemorate schools as perceived by social studies teachers was in a high degree with a mean of (3.84); as the educational environment domain came first with a mean of (4.03).
Moreover, there are no significant statistical differences at the level of (a =0.05) in the samples' responses on the status of programs and services as a whole.
The study recommended the need to overcome those obstacles due to the importance and advantages of blended learning.
Conducting training programs and workshops for teachers to provide them with the needed skills and competencies for applying blended learning in programs and courses related to their majors.
