Abstract EN

In this research, we endeavored to study the semantic and pragmatic value of the Prophet’s Hadith.

We concluded that the metaphor contributed to the production and pragmatic of the semantic values of the Hadith.

The study also shows the religious and psychological impact of the metaphor on the receivers through invoking certain emotions and feelings within the receiver of the message.

The use of metaphors actually transcended the syntactical and semantic visions to the pragmatic vision.

It also moved from being dependent on the word to the sentence and the discourse.

It becomes a linguistic activity, which requires the presence of the speaker, the addressee, and the context in the act of communication.
