English Abstract

It aims current research to identify the citizenship level of university students, as well as recognize the significance of differences in citizenship according to gender (Zkor- females), and in order to verify that the researcher to adopt the citizenship measure prepared by (Amer 2005) as the number of paragraphs as the final (30) items distributed among four alternatives, the researcher developed a vertebrae measure of citizenship in accordance with the concept of volunteer work has been to make sure its properties Alsekoumtrah was the tool applied to a sample of (155) of university students were randomly selected from three colleges in the University of Baghdad, a (college Engineering and the Faculty of political Science and the College of Education / Ibn Rushd), for the academic year 2015- 2016 research showed the following results: .iThe research sample of university students do not have a sense of citizenship or belonging to the homeland, and therefore the motivation for volunteering is very weak.

.2 There were no statistically significant differences between (male and female) in the citizenship in accordance with the concept of volunteer work.
