This study aims to test the effectiveness of a rational emotional counseling program to reduce self-stigma feeling and its effect on assertiveness among hard physically handicapped adolescents.

The study sample consists of (14) male and female students whose age ranged between (14- 17) years with mean (15.11) and SD (0.956) and scored the highest quartile on the scale of self-stigma, and the lowest quartile on the scale of assertiveness.

The study sample is divided randomly into two groups: experimental (7), controlling (7).

The study results are: There are statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental and the control groups on the dimensions of the self-stigma scale for the experimental group except the perceived social rejection, there are statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group in the pre and post tests on the scale of self-stigma except the perceived social rejection, there's no statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group in the post and sequences tests on the scale of self-stigma, there are statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental and the control groups on the dimensions of the assertiveness scale for the experimental group, there are statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group in the pre and post tests on the scale of assertiveness except expressing opinions and feelings and there's no statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group in the post and sequences tests on the scale of assertiveness except expressing opinions and feelings for the post test.
