Abstract EN

Libya was divided into three states : (Burqa, Tripoli, and Fezzan),during the fifties of last century, it suffered from economic and social backwardness in its various manifestations, and agriculture and grazing were the main trades of the majority of the population, and the Libyan economy suffered from consumption than production, and imports were higher of exports.

The financing of the deficit came from foreign aid through the United Nations programs and its own agencies in the form of technical assistance in the fields of health, education, labor, agriculture and other fields until the discovery and export of oil in 1961.

Accordingly, the Libyan government endeavored to achieve comprehensive economic development, and advanced shift than before.

In Libyan life, economic and social outcomes, within the limits of its capabilities and the internal conditions surrounding it.
