Algerian Women's Contributions to the National Struggle during the French ColonialismHistorical studies and national writings interested in women struggle and their contribution to the revolutionary movement in an equivalent way.

Their concentration, in fact, focused on a certain period which was the liberation revolution.

However, women's role existed before that era and was not only the result of the armed struggle, but it went back to the first years of occupation during the nineteenth century, and continued until Algeria got its independence.

Women's participation has been translated into different forms and patterns depending on the circumstances and the nature of the struggle.

In the same manner they had indeed played crucial role in the Military Resistance during the 19th century by leading and advocating holy jihad, and motivating men to struggle; they, during the 20th century, emerged again in the political struggle supporting the national issue through their activities within national parties such as the Algerian People's Party and the Muslim Scholars Association with a strong contribution during the Liberation Revolution.

Their role also exceeds their suffering along their struggle from the oppression of colonialism.

Therefore, this study aims to answer the following questions: What are the features and aspects of the participation of Algerian women in the support of the Algerian issue? What are the means and methods adopted in their struggle expression?
