نقود طغان شاه حاكم السلاجقة في وسط خراسان (465-475هـ 1072- 1082م)‎

Abstract EN

Toughan Shah is considered one of the most important men in the Seljuk dynasty, he played an important role during the late reign of Sultan Alp Arslan, and he did well against the Byzantines in the battle of Malazgirt in 463 AH / 1071 AD, so Alp Arslan before his death rewarded that he was entrusted him the rule of Harât, this is among those appointed by the Seljuk Sultan to the cities located in the eastern part of the Seljuk dynasty, Toughan Shah continued to rule after Sultan Malik Sháh ascended the throne of the Seljuks, and issued coins in his name and titles in addition to the name and titles of the Seljuk Sultan Malik Sháh.

In this paper, i am doing an analytical study of the coinage of Toughan Shah in terms of the general shape, inscriptions and decorations inscribed on it, as well as the activity of the mints in issuing coins, in addition to publishing a new collection of his coins for the first time, it is four dinars, three of them are preserved in the collection of FINT at the University of Tübingen collection in Germany, and the fourth is preserved in the University of Hamburg collection in Germany as well, which is a new addition to the Seljuk coins in particular and Islamic Numismatics in general.
