The Maghreb countries which include Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria have signed bilateral partnership agreements with the European Union in the hope that this would allow them to achieve economic development.

The importance of this article is that it analyzes the reality of this partnership, and highlights its most important implications for Maghreb countries.

This article aims to clarify the way these partnerships have contributed to serve the interests of a powerful party such as the European Union at the expense of the Maghreb economy.

The study has concluded that this partnership has worked towards emphasising the dependence of the Maghreb countries and establishing European dominance over their markets.
