Abstract EN

This article deals with the Algerian food security in terms of its attachment in terms of financing the feeding process from the revenues of hydrocarbons, the latter which is the basic source of funds destined for the import of strategic food commodities, which exposes food security in Algeria to vulnerability whenever international fuel prices are known to deteriorate, which necessitates finding urgent alternatives for a solution.

This vulnerability problem, Algeria has known several fluctuations and nutritional crises, such as the one that occurred at the end of the eighties and precipitated the country's entry into a wave of violence, or that crisis known as the oil and sugar crisis or the successive crises defined by strategic commodities such as milk.

No matter how many interpretations and policies are followed, the establishment of a nutritional strategy in place has become more than necessary.
