Abstract EN

The study aimed to investigate the impact of some internal and external factors on the financial performance of commercial banks as measured by the rate of return on average assets (ROAA), using a sample of commercial banks operating in Algeria during the period 2010-2018.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the panel data method was used based on the random effect model and the fixed effect model to estimate the multiple linear regression equation.

The study found a positive impact for both the size of the GDP, deposit growth rate, liquidity ratio and managerial efficiency on return on average assets (ROAA), while there was a negative impact of bank size and operational efficiency on return on average assets (ROAA).
