Abstract EN

Time, one of the most important existential issues, has occupied a large space of the philosophical thought.

The so many practitioners of this field and its branches have sparked a deep debate on this issue.

Among these branches the phenomenology- an iterpretivist philosophy- which had given prominent importance to the issue of time.

This latter examines the question of existence related to the self and the world relying on the data of awareness, intuition and intentionality which attempted to solve the problem of time awareness throughout the march of its research.

Each pioneer of this theory (Husserl, Haidegger, Merleau-Ponty, Bergson, Ricoeur) had a specific vision to the understanding of time and going into its questions.

Their visions varied from understanding the concepts of pure awareness to revealing their harmonies with reality and human existence.

Therefore, this study aims to identify the concept and the essence of time from an interpretive phenomenological perspective and to analyze the pioneers' visions and perceptions of this philosophical movement.

It also attempts to reveal the composition of awareness within the boundaries of time phenomena and its problems related to the human self.
