Abstract EN

This study aimed to know the forms, causes and ways of facing the phenomenon of sexual harassment in the university environment from the viewpoint of university professors.

We used the descriptive approach; the interview form (Prepared by the researcher) is used to collect data with a sample of 44 professors from the department of Social Sciences at Oum El-Bouaghi University.

This study reached the following results: sexual harassment in the university environments mostly verbal and symbolic, among the various university groups.

It has many causes varied between what relates to the psychological and sexual characteristics of the individual, poor socialization, factors related to the environment itself, and what is broadcasted in the media.

This study reached a set of solutions as recommendations.
