Unrealistic optimism is one of the psychological concepts that has gained the attention of researchers in various disciplines of psychology in recent times, especially health psychology, because of his role in creating health problems in particular, in many cases individuals think that they are less susceptible to adverse events than the others and they are more vulnerable to positive events compared to others, this is because unrealistic optimistic individuals have a cognitive malformation of the level of perception of susceptibility to infection, which makes them neglect to practice correct and straight healthy behaviors and continue to engage in unhealthy behaviors even though they put them at risk
