Abstract EN

This study aims to assess the reality of economic freedom through some of its indicators and represented in the government spending index, freedom of trade index and freedom of investment index, in addition to the political stability index, where was reliance on the descriptive and analytical approach.

The effect of the contribution of these variables on the incoming foreign direct investment during the period extending from 2002-2019, using Granger cointegration approach.

As the results of the benchmark study showed that some indicators of economic freedom have a significant and significant effect in attracting foreign direct investment to Algeria when compared to the effect of the political stability index which had its impact through the study is not significant and not considered, This is due to the reluctance of investors to invest in it.
