Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to show the attitude of theologists in relation to the concept of causation and their criticism of this concept and whether this criticism is a natural result of their divine research or an intellectual attitude toward this concept.

The research is an attempt to discover the history of the philosophical approach toward the concept of causation by Asharites and to show how complicated this concept is through displaying its varied logical and ontological denotations on the physical and metaphysical levels.

There will be a review of the attitude of Ashari theologists by explaining the history of Asharism through showing the development of spoken discourse inside this theological school.

The research will also investigate whether the differences among these theological philosophers are the result of Greek philosophical effects or the result of their theological philosophical research to understand the religious text itself.

The research will tackle Al-Ghazali's attitude toward the concept of causation, and whether Al-Ghazali was talking about one type of causation that is included in all aspects of knowledge, or whether it is possible to realize causation in just one aspect of knowledge.

The research also answers the following questions: Did the Ash'ari attitude remain within the visions of Al-Ghazali? Or did Fakhr Al-Deen Al-Razi exceed the theological visions of Al-Ghazali to a theological philosophical vision?
