Abstract EN

This paper deals with the resistance of Emir Abdelkader Al Jazaery, which is the most important resistance to the French occupation in Algeria, the day after its subjugation.

Where the prince faced the French forces, organized his state according to modern systems, established an army, minted a currency, and divided the country into provinces that included most of Algeria.

He took successors and workers, andmost cities obeyed him.

It faced many challenges, perhaps the most prominent of which was financing with weapons, in addition to subjugating some of the remnants of the beneficiaries of the Ottoman rule in Algeria.

And when the French army suffered many defeats, the occupation leaders were forced to change their strategy in dealing with it, which led him to seek refuge in Morocco.

In Morocco, he was welcomed at first, but soon the Moroccan government turned against him after the defeat of Isli and the outcomes of the Lalla Maghnia Treaty.

This paper will follow the descriptions that have accompanied Emir Abdelkader while he is in the Moroccan domain, positively and negatively.
