Abstract EN

This article provides an analytical and historical reading of some samples from the Emir Abdelkader Al-Jazaeri letters, through which we explain the most important human and moral values that had distinguished Emir Abdelkader in his political and military dealing with the French authority during the period of his national resistance against the French colonization.

These virtuous values and ideals stemming from the holy Qur'an and the prophetic Sunnah had undoubtedly made for Emir Abdelkader a human and universal dimension, through which he was well respected by many countries, religious communities and peace-loving international human rights organizations that calling for promoting the culture of peaceful coexistence, common living, and freedom of thought, belief and opinion among peoples.
