Abstract EN

The RDA standard is one of the developments in the field of bibliography that the Algerian university libraries have to adopt and move technical treatment to higher levels in order to be able to enter into various projects of libraries consortiums and meet the increasing documentary needs Through this article, we will try to find out the need and readiness of the central library of the University of Algiers.

2 Abu-Qasim Saadallah as a model for Algerian university libraries to transform from traditional standards to newer standards and use the RDA standard by identifying the various physical, human and technical possibilities available to achieve such an objectif, and try to identify the various problems and obstacles that prevent it in this mission.
