This study aims to the causal relationship between the rate rate of reserve requirements analysis as a tool of quantitative tools of monetary policy to influence the credit provided by the banking system guide Algeria during the period 2004-2017, Through explaining the direction of the relationship between the different variables, of the reality of the annual reports data of the Bank of Algeria, Test using Granger causality The study found that there is no causal relationship between the change of the rate of reserve requirements and bank credit through the liquidity index and there is a causal relationship between the two variables through the profitability index and the inverse relationship
