Abstract EN

The study aimed at addressing the problem of poor critical reading skills among the students of the Faculty of Education in Qena (Arabic Language Division).

The study adopted a program based on Self-Regulated Learning (Pintrich model) as a pilot treatment for developing the relevant skills of students.

For the students / teachers.

The study also adopted the experimental design of one group and the tribal and remote measurements of its instruments, which is a test of critical reading skills.

The sample of the study consisted of thirty students from the faculty of education in Qena.

The results of the study found the effectiveness of the program based on Self-Regulated Learning (Pintrich model) in the development of critical reading skills of students / teachers and confirmed the validity of the hypothesis of the existence of statistically significant differences between the average scores of students (the study group) in the tribal and remote applications in the critical reading skills test As a whole for the post-application.
