Abstract EN

Purpose of the current research was to identify the extent to which primary stage science teachers knew the competencies of achieving the affective aims.

To achieve this purpose, the descriptive research (survey research) was used.

The research procedures were as follows: preparing a list of competencies for achieving the Affective Aims among science teachers in the primary stage, preparing a test of the cognitive aspects of the competencies for achieving the affective aims of science teachers in the primary stage, and testing its validity and reliability.

Sample of the research was a group of science teachers in the primary stage (N=32).

Results of the study showed that science teachers in the primary stage knew 60% of the competencies, indicating an acceptable level of knowledge.

Based on this result, a set of recommendations and suggested research were presented.
