The study aimed to identify the role of psychological capital in its five dimensions (optimism, trust, hope, resilience, and emotional balance) in improving the performance of the employees of the Palestine Ahliya University.
The study population consisted of all the university staff.
The researcher used the comprehensive survey method and distributed a computerized questionnaire to all employees in the university through their e mail, 93 respondents responded to the questionnaire and filled it out.
The study found that the employees of the Palestine Ahliya University have high psychological capital.
There was also a significant correlation between psychological capital in all its fields and job performance for the staff of Palestine Ahliya University.
There were also no statistically significant differences at the level of (α = 0.05) (Gender, age, scientific qualification, work nature, and years of experience).
In light of the results, the researcher recommended the necessity of urging the Palestine Ahliya University to continue to pay attention to the psychological state of the employees, pay more attention to the optimism variable among the employees, work to raise the morale of the workers, and promote the principle of optimism and have a better look at things.
