Journalism is a profession that collects and analyzes news and verifies its credibility.

It plays an important role in the lives of individuals and communities.

The problem of the study here is to find out whether the Sudanese press has a role and effectiveness in addressing social issues in the Sudanese society or is it only the press publication.

The importance of the study stems from the importance of the press to deal with social issues and its ethical, professional and objective dimensions.

There are several objectives for this study.

This study is to know the role played by the press in addressing social issues.

In which the press addresses social issues and issues.

The population of this study consisted of a sample of Sudanese social newspapers (A1-Dar and Hekayat).

A regular random sample was selected.

The study used the descriptive analytical and historical methodology in the chronology of the history of journalism.

One of the most important results of this study: The study confirmed that the social newspapers in question depend on the excitement and contentment side beside the news only with the weak treatment of the press and also emphasized the issues of crime and murder with the lack of interest in social issues that serve the community.

Citizens, such as issues of education, health also avoid excitement in the presentation of topics related to violence, sex, crime and all that leads to the deterioration of values and ethics.
