Abstract EN

The aim of this research is to identify the level of Linguistic Enlightenment among Arabic language department fourth year students in some Colleges of Education, as well as identify their performance level of creative writing skills.

Also this research aims to reveal the relationship between their level of linguistic enlightenment and their level of creative writing skills.

The descriptive design was used for its relevance to the nature of this research.

The research group(N=300)- the fourth year Arabic Language department students- was selected from both general and basic education students in some Colleges of Education at Qena, Sohag and Hurghada.

The researcher prepared the following instruments and materials: Linguistic Enlightenment Test for fourth year Arabic language department students.

Creative Writing Skills List required for fourth year Arabic language department students.

Creative Writing Skills Test for fourth year Arabic language department students .

Performance gradual card to correct the creative writing skills test .

The results of the research indicated the following: Low level of linguistic enlightenment among fourth year Arabic language department students in some Colleges of Education (Qena - Sohag - Hurghada).

Low level of creative writing skills among fourth year Arabic language department students in some colleges of education (Qena - Sohag - Hurghada).

There are statistically significant differences between mean scores of the research group students according to the type of Education (general /basic) on the Linguistic Enlightenment level in favor of general Education students at the level of significance 0.01.

There are statistically significant differences between mean scores of the research group students according to the type of education (general/basic)in creative writing skills in favor of general education students at the level of significance 0.01.

There is positive correlation with statistical significance between mean scores of the research group students in the levels of Linguistic Enlightenment and creative writing skills at the level of significance of 0.01.
