Abstract EN

The study aimed to suggesting a future vision for discovering and nurturing the gifted in Egypt in the light of the Japanese experience, after learning about the system of identification and care of gifted students in Japan.

The researcher used the descriptive approach.

The study reached a set of results, the most important are: A clear shortage in the system of discovery and care of the gifted students in Egypt, Selection and identification of the gifted depends on the achievement scores, Egypt and Japan are similar in their interest in the gifted, but they differ in their non application of policies for some considerations connected to possibilities, In light of these results, a future vision was proposed to benefit from the Japanese experience in this field.

The researcher recommended the following :The early care and identification of the gifted, To use codified methods and tools in the process of discovering gifted students in different educational stages, Holding competitions organized by the Ministry of Education in partnership with other ministries for the purpose of discovering, developing and nurturing the talents, Egyptian universities should develop programs to discover talented students.
