Abstract EN

This research aims to study the antonyms and their aesthetics inAlkhansa` poetry.

The research clarifies the functional value of antonyms inAlkhansa's collection of poems, (Diwan).

They exceed the limits of eloquence and embellishments especially that antonyms compatible with Alkhansa`s life, which is filled with binary antonyms .

The poet was able to portray the state of grieving, weeping and suffering through signifier and Signifiedin the form of synonyms and antonyms.

The poet made these as indicators in confronting other states either meet or oppose themdirectly or indirectly.

The researcher opted for structural approach as it compatible with the objectives of the study.

The study concluded that the grief and psychological anxiety came in the form of binary antonyms.

It portrays the lamentation of AlKhansa’ to her brother Sakhr, otherbinary antonyms could be found in attitudes, contexts, general and private visions, as well as binaries of time, ego and others.

Aesthetics of antonyms appears in the richness of Alkhansa' poetry style, which reflects the recipient's pleasure, and awakens his sense of research for the opposite meaning.
