Abstract EN

This study deals with an important topic related to the crimes committed by French colonialism in Algeria in May 1945.

The study focuses on the events that took place in Amoucha north of Sétif which suffered from the scourge of colonialism.

This agony was revealed by the testimony of those who witnessed those painful days regarding the atrocity of events.

Despite the attempt of the inhabitants of the region to support their fellow citizens who were demonstrating in the city of Setif, the reaction of the French forces resulted in dozens of dead, in addition to burning and destroying properties and arresting many people.

It was a difficult period and testimonies from those who experienced these events are the best evidence of the brutality of French colonialism
