Study Summary: The participation of women in the development of society is an angine, that cannot move forward in the sustainable development movement without its validity, to achieve this, it must be empowered, promoted and supported by its role in the family and society and elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, particularly those based on sex, which would limit their effectiveness and capacity, This calls for studying the legal texts approved by the Algerian legislature for the empowerment and protection of women, and therefore we conducted in this study a survey of various national legislations that include equality between men and women or rather their empowerment, in order to arrive at the concept of empowerment as a Western term intended in reality is not apparent.
