Abstract EN

The aim of this paper is to highlight the role and contribution of Metlili region in the Algerian national movement and the preparation ofarmed action in Ghardaia district between 1938-1954; namely during theperiod from the eve of the outbreak of World War II to the Outbreak ofthe Algerian Revolution of the 1st of November 1954, highlighting howthe inhabitants of this region interacted and influenced the politicalresistance led by the Algerians against the French occupation during thisperiod.

The question we tried to answer throughout this paper is: What is therole of Metlili region in the Algerian national movement and thepreparation for armed action during the period 1938 - 1954?
