Abstract EN

The student of contemporary Algerian poetry does not find any embarrassment in labeling it with the symbolic poetry that lies on the throne of myth as it is full of mythological symbols and are used widely among Algerian poets.

this research accordingly attempts to unveil the mythological symbols and uncover the tempting motivations of their use.

it also aims at tracing its course in contemporary Algerian poetry relying on the mechanisms of descriptive approach which is about induction and analysis.

this research seeks to exploit the semantic shadows of the mythological symbols.

it also includes the aesthetic results, the most important of which are the following: the uniqueness of the mythological symbols in contemporary Algerian poetry.
