Corruption remains one of the biggest obstacles to economic and social development, so integrity and transparency were among the priorities of the state of Singapore, which made it one of the most prominent global economies and an example to be followed, and the Singaporean government played a big role in this success through its strategy to reduce corruption, whether administrative or the financial institution, as it established an office to enact an anti-corruption law, the latter having undergone many amendments that resulted in the expansion of the anti-corruption department, which earned the country higher ranks in the field of transparency and integrity, and ranked fourth in the world in 2019 according to the corruption perceptions Index issued by the Organization Transparency International.
