I realized that the Association of Southeast Asian Nations since the beginning of its foundation the need to work towards regional security, as they were in the 1960s and 1970s decades of the twentieth century rely heavily on the United States to provide protection and security for them, but after the United States at the end of 1980s reduced military presence.
