Abstract EN

The objective of the current research is to identify the "effectiveness of educational electronic games in the achievement of elementary students in mathematics and retention".

To achieve the research objective, the researcher put the following hypotheses : 1-There is a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the average scores of the students (the experimental group) who studied the electronic educational games and the grades of the students (control group) who studied the usual (traditional) method in the achievement test of mathematics .

2-There is a significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the average scores of students (the experimental group) who studied electronic games educational and grades of students (control group) who studied the usual (traditional) in the retention test of mathematics .

The study was limited to students of the fourth grade primary school of the General Directorate of Education in the province of Baghdad Karkh / third, for the academic year 2016/2017, and the sample of the research was chosen from the fourth grade students and consisted of (70) students divided into two groups, one officer and the other experimental ( 35 students per group, the control and experimental groups of students were rewarded by testing the previous information, the age of time calculated by months, and the parents' collection.

The research tool, the "collection test", was composed of (20) paragraphs.

Four The tests were carried out on Sunday, 25/12/2016, on the students of the two research samples and after 15 days the test was repeated on the students of the two research groups on Monday, 9/1/2017.

After the results were quantified and sorted, (Spss The results were reached as follows : 1-the great effectiveness of educational electronic games in the achievement of students (experimental group) in mathematics .

2-The great effectiveness of educational electronic games in the retention of information among students (experimental group) in mathematics .

In light of the research results, the researcher recommends the following: 1-Include programs for the preparation of mathematics teachers in the faculties of education with appropriate training programs for how to use electronic educational games in teaching and design .

2-Computerization of curricula and inclusion in exciting educational electronic games .

3-Establishing special centers for designing electronic educational games for all curricula .

4-Organizing conferences and seminars for teaching using electronic educational games .

5-The interest in the development of training programs for mathematics teachers (during service) and for all stages of programs concerned with electronic teaching .

To complete the research, the researcher proposes a number of studies as follows : 1-Building a training program for learning and e-learning in mathematics 2-A study to study the effect of electronic teaching in the acquisition of mathematical concepts among students and different stages .

3-Studying the effectiveness of electronic educational games in the collection of mathematics in different stages.
