Abstract EN

The necessity of writing the current research is based on a list of problematic reasons which are the lack of documentary sources of university on the one hand, and the lack of paying attention and interest of studies and researches toward the subject of the plastic movement reality in Diyala Governorate for the survey , analysis and methodical criticism which are established technical and cultural references.

Reservation of art history in Diyala which can define the Iraqis, Arabs and the world with the capabilities, energies and presence in keeping with the developments in the world of art, if we know that the history of plastic movement in Diyala is a part of the history of Iraq, which has undergone transformations in all levels of life.

Nowadays in the Diyala Governorate ,there are several art institutes as well as the college of Fine Arts, in addition to that, there are quite a few graduates with higher degrees in the field of art and art education.

But it is remarkable that all the studies and researches that the researchers worked on and which could be accessed are not subjected to the examination of the reality of the plastic movement in Diyala and the level that establishes a database and information that preserve the memory of the visual and aesthetic awareness of the artists of Diyala.

In addition to providing cultural references for future generations for local and global levels.

All the above have provided the basis for the researchers to target the field survey for the number of artists where possible through working to know the most important work and activities in terms of collective and personal exhibitions and then stop on the most important artistic characteristics that characterized them.

By subjecting them to analysis and criticism .

According to Diyala Drawing Works, the written sources and all the information are erased from their original personal sources and by the tools of the interview with a group of early painters from different generations.

The results of the research are summarized to a number of results and the most important ones are the artists of Diyala and accompanied the beginnings of the plastic movement in Iraq as well as there are quite a few of the early outputs of the Institute and College of Fine Arts in Baghdad, they have distinct activities in terms of personal and collective exhibitions and even the formation of technica groups.

The methods and technical techniques in their work are a degree of artistic and technical maturity.

These results led to a number of conclusions, the most important of which are Diyala's drawings are more related to the geographical effects of Diyala in terms of realistic colours and their visual relations in showing the aesthetics of the place despite attempts to keep up with the modern ideas in the work of many of them in terms of coding , abstraction and dotting are shown in its aesthetic quality.
