Abstract EN

Mental alertness is one of the modern psychological concepts because of its importance to all sports, including volleyball.

For its active role in managing the emotions of the player intelligently in different situations players are exposed to during training and competition and its relationship to the accuracy of technical skills in volleyball.

Therefore, the researcher studied the relationship of mental alertness with emotional intelligence and accuracy of the preparation skill in volleyball.

The study follows the descriptive method on a sample of (60) players from volleyball teams of the university of Diyala for the academic year 2017-2018.

The study concludes that there is a relationship between mental alertness and emotional intelligence and preparation skill accuracy in volleyball.
