Abstract EN

Child Labor represents a negative impact phenomena; it threats the future of childhood.

Child Labor has negative efforts on society and the economy which began significantly in Iraqi society as a result of what the country faced from rapid political and social developments, and its negative impacts in different areas of life.

The purpose of this study is to identify the social and economic factors of Child Labor.

In order to achieve the objectives of this research, the researchers set up a questionnaire which consisted of (29) paragraphs.

It was applied to a sample of (100) families.

After the data collection and statistical processing using the law of the weighted average and percentage weight for the purpose of ranking the factors in descending order.

A number of educational disadvantages were identified as a result of child labor.

-Work on providing health insurance, housing, and social security for poor families.

-Follow-up and treatment of dropout through the cooperation of school administrations with the family.

- Work on conducting a comprehensive survey of children working in all governorates of Iraq.

- Attention to the mental health of the child by the family and school - Work on the cooperation of all institutions, Educational, Economic, Ministry of Interior and Defense to prevent the exploitation of children by terrorist groups and organized gangs.

The researchers suggest that: - Conducting a study on child labor and its relation with some variables - The need to conduct research and extensive field studies to know the magnitude of this phenomenon.
