Abstract EN

The present research aims at finding out the extent to which the historical culture enjoyed by the history teachers in the primary stage and its relation to the achievement of their students.

The researcher followed the descriptive approach.

The research community is one of the history teachers who teach social subjects in the public primary schools for the Directorate General of Diyala for the academic year 2016 2017, the research sample consisted of a group of teachers randomly selected from several schools belonging to the Directorate General of Diyala for the academic year 2016-2017, the researcher prepared a measure showing the dimensions of historical culture has been verified its validity and stability, The results show that the historical culture of the teachers of history in their dimensions contributes to an increase in their students' achievement.

The researcher recommends that attention should be given to holding training courses prepared by special committees In the Ministry of Education to develop and train history teachers to enhance their historical culture because it is a positive aspects of their personalities The researcher suggested a number of proposals, including: Conduct a similar study on teachers and teachers of the current research variables and compare the results of the current research, For the current research on the students of the Department of History in Iraqi universities.
