The research aimed to prepare list of Arabic handwriting skills among French-speaking Arabic learners، and a list of suggested application basis of smart phones in order to develop Arabic handwriting skills among Frenchspeaking Arabic learners، and measure effectiveness of smart phones applications in developing Arabic handwriting skills among French-speaking Arabic learners.
The research problem is determined by the following questions: 1- What are the Arabic writing's skills among French-speaking Arabic learners? 2-What are the suggested application basis of smart phones in order to develop Arabic handwriting skills among French-speaking Arabic learners? 3-What are effectiveness of smart phones application in developing Arabic handwriting skills among French-speaking Arabic learners ? The researcher used Semi-experimental approach، and an experimental design of one-set with two different set of applications ; pre and post applications.
In order to realize the research aims and objectives ، a questionnaire for the teaching of Arabic calligraphy for French-speaking Arabic learners was prepared، and a test for measuring the skills of Arabic calligraphy was also prepared.The research sample was 20 students of the Institute of Arabic Language Teaching for non-native speakers at the Islamic University in Madinah.Among the most important results of the research is a list of Arabic calligraphy skills for French-speaking Arabic learners.
It is comprised of three main skills that resulted in twelve sub-skills.
A list of suggested application basis of smart phones for French-speaking Arabic learners was also prepared.There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of learners in the pre and post application for the benefit of the latter; This confirms that the use of smart phone applications has led to the emergence of statistical differences in the skills of Arabic calligraphy among French-speaking Arabic learners.
In the light of the achieved results ،the researcher presented a number of recommendations and suggestions that may contribute to the development of Arabic calligraphy skills.
