Abstract EN

This study aims to evaluate the objectives of the series “The Arabic Language within your Hands” (Al-Arabia bain Yadeek) in its second version 1435H/ 2014AD in light of the educational goals set by some educationalists.

The descriptive analytic methodology was used in this study.

The study population is represented in the books of the series “The Arabic Language within your Hands” (Al-Arabia bain Yadeek), eight books: 4 student’s books and 4 for teacher’s books.

Each of the four student’s book is divided into two sections.

The study sample is represented in the same study population but with more focus on the objective element in the series books since the researcher intends to evaluate the objectives of the series given that the elements of the syllabus are integrated, interrelated and overlapping.

A tool for content analysis (The card of Standard Levels of Educational Goals) was used to evaluate the objectives of the series.

Main results: The series “The Arabic Language within your hands” (Al- Arabia bain Yadeek) is based on a clear educational vision represented in the Islamic Arab culture.

This series also drew from the global culture what goes along with Islamic principles.

This series also highly meets the general aims of the series of the standard levels of educational goals while written and identified goals for instructional levels, textbooks, and instructional units were not included except in Book 1 that highly meets the standards of educational goals.

The goals of instructional levels, textbooks and units do not meet the standard No.1 that is related to identifying the educational goals.

So, the standard of identifying the educational goals was evaluated aslow.

The study recommended that that The missing goals on the vertical level in the literature of the series should be completed.
