The problem of the current study is to answer the following questions: - The prevalence of drug abuse among the students of the internal departments at the University of Basra.

- What is the method of dealing from the perspective of students.

- What are the most common drugs among students in the internal departments from the perspective of students - What are the ways of identifying drugs and getting them in the university and society by students.

- What are the causes of abuse from the point of view of students - Can the university do its educational role in drawing up a preventive program within the university corridors for its student- Can the university do its educational role in drawing up an integrated program for the various state institutions to carry out their roles in combating the drug scourge in Iraqi society Research Objectives: The current research aims at the following: 1.

3 - The development of a proposed program by the University for the roles provided by different institutions of society The current research was determined by a sample of students from the internal departments at Basra University for the academic year 2015-2016.

They applied a tool prepared for the purpose of achieving the objectives of the current study and after analyzing the response of the sample the results were as follows: 1 - The respondents pointed out that the prevalence rate of abuse from their point of view and according to the experience they experienced in the internal departments amounted to 65% and pointed out that the rate of abuse among males more than in females.

2 - The respondents pointed out that the most common methods are swallowing, which is the method that is conducted in complete confidentiality without the observation of others to the abusers Shisha, the sample indicated that the students of the internal departments are trading the use of shisha in the corridors and gardens of the internal sections under the pretext of smoking Almassal.

3 - The most common substances are valium pills and then the psychological pills followed by the crystal, alcohol and cough and the drinker.

4 - One of the most prominent ways to identify students on drugs through the vendors promoted inside and outside the college followed by the presence of students of drug promoters in the college in addition to the social networking sites and draws the attention of the researcher that the respondents mentioned the presence of promoters in the cafeteria colleges by employees or clients Or through the employees in some faculties of the university or through the workers who are brought by the contractors for construction in university faculties.

5 - It is clear that most of the reasons have received a weighted average higher than the average of the scale of 2.5, which indicates the awareness of the respondents to the relative importance of the reasons that the university student to take drugs.
