Before talking about narrowing the digital divide in Algerian society, it is necessary to talk about the problem of digital illiteracy, which studies have shown that more than sixty percent of Algerians suffer from digital illiteracy, the latter of which researchers have defined as ignorance in the use of computers and the Internet in their daily work whether this user is a student, professor, doctor, however, the problem is deeper than this, namely the phenomenon of "digital alienation", as the American researcher Mark Bransky called it as a modern social phenomenon that appeared in society and specifically in the educational environment as a result of technological development, made the individual unable to deal with modern technological means because of his ignorance of the methods of use, so it is necessary to study this phenomenon and try : to know its phenomena and indicators and how to measure it and find ways to reduce it, especially when the university student.
