This study attempted to shed light on the references (religious, literary, and folklore) of the narrative texts of some short stories in the Arab world, and to mark them as a central axis leading to the openness of the text to two types of narration: a documentary pattern indicating its source, and a determining identity of those texts, and an aesthetic style that derives Its aesthetic is the expression of its authority in a contemporary way, as this would contribute to establishing a new narrative, as well as the impression of the narrative text with a specific reference that is common and universal, would give the texts an interpretative dimension and a semantic depth.

Therefore, interest in these textual references came as a title of this study, and a number of results were identified which are ..identified at its conclusion.
