Abstract EN

This study aimed at determining the financial management practices applied in Iraqi industrial companies and determining their impact on financial performance and the obstacles to their application.

For the purpose of achieving the objectives of the study The selection of Baghdad Company for Carpets and Furniture from industrial companies listed in the Iraqi market for securities as a sample of the case study, because of the importance of the industrial sector in economic development, and its success depends in large part on the importance of applying financial management practices in these companies.

The study found that the financial performance of the industrial sector is weak in general.

However, the Baghdad Company for Carpets and Furniture, the sample of the study that applies financial management practices have a relatively better financial performance than companies that do not apply financial management practices and therefore there is an impact of management practices on the financial performance of companies The study recommended the application of modern financial management practices and make them an integral part of the strategy of one of the study sample companies, which has an impact on the financial performance.
