Abstract EN

Linguists' classifications of Arabic linguistic writing varied according to the multiplicity of approaches and principles adopted in the classification process as subject, method and purpose.

Accordingly, such writings have also had several types; however, introductory linguistics remains the most important for being the main gateway to understanding linguistic research.

Adhering to simplistic educational aspects, it gives Arab readers general faculties and basic principles on which the linguistic lesson is based, and this is what its titles and introductions declare.

Yet, what is expressed in these writings’ bodies remains different mostly and even contradictory to their goals.

For that, a gap is created between readers’ motives (titles and introductions) and what they read (bodies) putting such writings in dilemmas between simplistic educational goals and realities of Arab and Algerian readers, particularly, who find difficulties to deal with and understand them.
