This research deals with the problem of the otherness in the novel "Nawar al-luz" by Wassine Laarej, where it examines how the relationship between the ego and the other was embodied, whether this other is local or foreign, as it always appears with the appearance of the enemy, and whoever we are trying in this research tracing the image of this other at different levels.

Whether the other is near or far, locally or foreign, and no matter how many pictures of this other, we find it imposes its hostility on the ego and pushes it to escape away.
