Communication aims to transmit information, this communication performance is judged according to the speech intelligibility rate, this intelligibility is important in speech therapy assessment mainly in Arabic-speaking children.
In view of the absence of this evaluation in an Algerian clinical environment, we have developed a scale to assess intelligibility, for this, we took a sample of 240 schoolchildren aged 6 to 12 years.
The results reveal the existence of a correlation between ineligibility and oral comprehension essential element for any verbal communication.
