Honor and dignity are closely related to the social sanctity for its consideration as a socio-cultural prospect that has distinguished many Arab and Western societies and occupied a large space in their perceptions and practices.

We aim in This study to shed light on the Algerian family's visions to honor such as a value and a concept which is embodies different meanings such as: Nif decency, Horma.

We worked to get acquainted with aspects of the subject through a field study covering a group of eastern Algerian families, beginning with dealing with the concept of honor, In the sociological literatures and its value in social engineering, Its relationship to the field and women, in particular her sexual behavior.

and from this standpoint, we have monitored the value changes that affected the Algerian family system and elucidated cultural aspects, It reveals their belief in the necessity of preserving the reputation and adhering to honor.
