In order to achieve and maintain the level of environmental performance required by the various stakeholders, many companies tend to integrate the environmental management system into their daily strategies.
This process-based approach must at least be implemented in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard.
Our study establishes the need to weave a positive relationship between the EMS and the Environmental Performance while mobilizing two tools recommended by the ISO standard: audit and environmental indicators.
The data related to our study was collected through interviews with the concerned personnel, information collected from the company's internal documents, and finally the analysis of audit and environmental indicators.
This study has clearly demonstrated that the ISO 14001 certified EMS contributes considerably to the improvement of SASECE's environmental performance.
Nevertheless, the company must sort out the most significant issues by customizing the environmental priorities.

Pour atteindre et maintenir le niveau de performance environnementale exigé par les différentes parties intéressées, plusieurs entreprises ont tendance à intégrer le système de management environnemental dans leurs stratégies quotidienne.
Cette démarche par processus doit au minimum être mise en place conformément au standard ISO 14001.
Notre étude établit la nécessité de tisser une relation positive entre le SME et la Performance Environnementale tout en mobilisant deux outils préconisés par la norme ISO: audit et indicateurs environnementaux.
Les données relatives à notre étude, ont été recueillies à travers les entretiens effectués avec le personnel concerné, les informations collectées des documents internes indicateurs environnementaux de l'entreprise, enfin l'analyse d'audit et des indicateurs environnementaux.
Cette étude a démontré clairement que le SME certifié ISO 14001 contribue considérablement dans l'amélioration de la performance environnementale de SASECE.
Néanmoins, l'entreprise doit trier les enjeux les plus significatifs en procédant à une personnalisation des priorités environnementale.
